Perth Racing's managing director has been sacked for alleged misconduct in the workplace.
The Perth Racing Board says it has sacked managing director John Yovich over alleged seriously inappropriate misconduct in the workplace.
"The board applauds the brave staff member who came forward with their credible account and evidence of what occurred," the board said in a statement after making its decision at a meeting on Thursday.
It said that as a result of this evidence, the board had been made aware of serious cultural issues within the organisation and would work to appoint an independent agency to conduct a full organisational review.
"The immediate priority of the board is to support Perth Racing staff and therefore will not release any further details relating to the decision at this time."
